                                      Should School Uniform Be Mandatory?
Clothing plays an important role in social and cultural life. Uniform which is a part of clothing is a necessary thing in life. It stands for formality in work life. It is the symbol of formality not only in work life but also in school life. If free clothes are worn in the school instead of uniform, it can cause disintegration of order in the school. Therefore, school uniform should be mandatory in the schools because school uniform is a significant factor for discipline in the school, discrimination among students and a sense of identity.
First of all, school uniform is the first condition for discipline in the schools. Some people say that school uniform should not be compulsory in the schools. Researches show that uniform is an important factor for discipline. Peter Caruso researched positive effects of uniform for school in 1996 and he explained that school uniform minimizes discipline problems. Also, uniform improves relations between teachers and students. Researches prove that students are more respectful toward teachers when they wear uniform. When they are in uniform, they feel ready to start their duties. As a result, uniform makes a positive contribution to discipline of schools and students’ attendance in lesson.
Second, school uniforms prevent discrimination between wealthy students and poor students. If students do not wear uniforms, it can cause some problems. For example, poor students cannot wear different clothes everyday while wealthy students wear. It causes that poor students have negative emotions toward the wealthy. Proponents of free clothes in the schools claim that students should be allowed to express themselves by wearing clothes that students decide. It is not a way of expressing themselves. They can express themselves in different ways such as singing, writing poetries. At the same time, it causes unnecessary affectations among students. Thanks to school uniforms, these negative things can prevent and students focus on their own works.
Third, uniforms give students a sense of identity. Some people say that free clothes are important factor for children to have identity. Students are representatives of their schools in uniform. Uniform shows people that students are part of a school. When wearing uniform, people can distinguish students according to their uniforms. Also, teachers can recognize their own students with uniform. If students wear clothes that they want, teachers cannot find out who is the guilty when teachers come across an event. For example, when a student who studies in a different school breaks the window of school, he/she cannot be caught because of his/her free clothes. If students put on uniform, teachers can find the guilty easily. Therefore, uniforms should be compulsory.

In conclusion, school uniforms have benefits both students and schools. Wearing uniform is an important factor to provide discipline, prevent discrimination among students and have a sense of identity. Therefore, school uniforms should be mandatory in the schools. If students continue putting on uniform, they will not spend time for their clothes and will be aware of their tasks. As a result of this, success of school and students’ success will increase.

                                                                                       Argumentative Essay First Draft
Should Schools Provide Moral Education for Youth?
Moral values have an important role on training the youth who have humanitarian qualifications. Moral values lead to the youth in order to have positive behaviors and to be accepted in the community. Parents are primarily responsible for their children’s moral education. Parents should follow closely children’s behavior development which starts to form from the age of 3-4. Also, they should begin to give children moral values from the age of 7-8 when children begin to understand moral concepts. In fact, children’s moral education starts in the family at first. Despite of this, schools should provide moral education as families are insufficient for it.
First, some people may think that moral education should be left to parents and it cannot be provided in the school. They think that school is a place that students learn only things in the books. Actually, schools are places that children start to socialize and to understand what is true or wrong. Individuals can socialize by connecting with other people. In this process, environment is an effective factor to form children’s moral values. When the youth communicate with others, they can learn something such as how to speak in public, how to behave to elders. In the school, students can learn something which they did not learn from parents. Schools are places for not only teaching but also education.
Second, responsibility awareness has an important role in view of moral education. Everyone has some responsibilities as an individual. Some people say that responsibility awareness is acquired in the family. However, it is acquired in the school thanks to moral education. The youth perform their responsibilities and it materializes as a result of moral education which is provided in the school. For example, students’ tasks which are given by teachers arouse sense of responsibility in students. They are aware of their duties and know that they will be punished if they do not their tasks.  On the other hand, they know that their family will be insightful and will not get angry if they do not their tasks. As a result, youth avoid fulfilling their responsibilities. Therefore, moral education should be provided in the school.
Third, moral education has an important factor to be conscientious individual. Some people say that children can learn social values and attitudes in the family and can be sensitive to these. Some of children grow up in a family which is not sensitive to these social values. As a result, moral education should be provided in the schools. Thanks to this, individuals can be more sensitive events which happen their around. For example, individual who learnt being fair about any subject in the school can be more conscientious when he/ she comes across any situation.

To sum up, moral education is a long progress which lasts from birth to deathEven though it starts in the family, it is not left to family. As families are inadequate for children’s moral education, it should be continued in the schools. Children can acquire moral education by socializing, having responsibility and being conscientious. Thanks to school, children can have these facilities which are basic for moral education. Therefore, moral education should be provided in the schools.
