One of the results of imbalanced diet is the obesity. There are a lot of reasons of the obesity. The most important causes of the obesity are unhealthy eating habits, physical inactivity and psychological problems.
The first cause of obesity is unhealthy eating habits. Eating too quickly is one of the unhealthy eating habits. This leads to intake excessive calorie which causes obesity. Skipping meals is another bad eating habit. You should avoid skipping meals because it causes eating more and turning into fat what you eat. Another unhealthy habit is eating large portion. It leads to take much more calorie than you need. As a result, eating habit is an important cause of obesity.
The second cause of the obesity is physical inactivity. It is a big factor for obesity. If you are not active enough, you cannot burn calories which are taken from the food you eat. When you look at around, you can see that people are not active enough. You work by sitting at a desk during a whole day. In addition to this, you prefer using bus or your own car in order to go to somewhere instead of walking. Furthermore, you spend your spare time by watching TV, surfing on the internet or playing computer games rather than doing exercises. Additionally, while you are doing these activities, you are eating junk food. So, you do not waste the energy which is provided from foods. Consequently, all of them lead to obesity.
The third cause of the obesity is psychological problems. Eating habits can be affected by spiritual elements such as joy, sadness, anger, happiness. When you are depressed and unhappy, you want to eat more. As long as you eat, you gain weight. Also, when you are stressed, you can learn some pleasurable behaviors and can use these behaviors as defense against stress. For example, you can be happy when you eat chocolate in depression. As a result of this, you want to eat chocolate whenever you feel depressed. Also, you want to eat the other foods by generalizing this situation.
To sum up, it is clear that main causes of the obesity are unhealthy eating habits, physical inactivity and psychological problems. Eating quickly, skipping meal and eating large portion are unhealthy eating habits which lead to gain weight. Psychological problems and the lack of physical activity are the other causes of the obesity. Consequently, you should care about your health to avoid obesity.
